Lumina Care Appoints Experienced Physician as Associate Medical Director
NEW YORK – Lumina Care, one of the fastest-growing holistic and comprehensive care providers delivering cutting-edge solutions to skilled nursing homes and community patients, has appointed Dr. Mary Jones as its associate medical director. In her new role, she will provide medical oversight to the company’s growing team of clinical providers striving to enhance patient outcomes by integrating innovative technologies and compassionate, data-driven approaches.
Dr. Jones brings extensive experience in integrated after-hours telehealth, transitional care management, behavioral health integration and chronic care management. Her work emphasizes the importance of providing seamless care transitions, ensuring that patients receive continuous support whether they are in the facility, hospitalized or at home. She has always fostered a patient-centric approach to care, which she believes is crucial for fostering wellness and improving quality of life.

Prior to her role at Lumina Care, Dr. Jones served as an acute care telemedicine physician for Teladoc, where she provided telehealth consults to patients. She has also worked at Focus MD, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD in both children and adults. Her diverse background in pediatrics includes over 18 years of experience in hospitals, clinics and private practice.
She received her medical degree from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine, after receiving her bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She completed her internship and residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Currently, she holds medical licenses in 10 states, including Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, New York, Tennessee and Texas.
In addition to her medical credentials, Dr. Jones is certified as an Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist and a PCCI Trained Life and Leadership Coach.
She resides in Birmingham, Alabama.
